Renewal is the standard licence pricing for your vehicle: the weight-based fee ($29.76/100 kg for cars), flat fee, $9.70 recording fee and MII. Don't cross the 3-month line
WA's lapse rule is stricter than the eastern states: once a licence has been expired for more than 3 months, renewal is off the table — the vehicle needs an inspection at an Authorised Inspection Station and a new licence application in person, and moving it there legally requires a temporary movement permit. How do I renew my rego in WA?

Can I choose a shorter term?
Yes: 3, 6 or 12 months, plus the 1-month direct debit option. Shorter terms charge fees pro-rata with a small short-term MII fee ($5.44) and apportioned flat fee.
Do I need an inspection to renew?
Routine renewal needs no inspection. Inspections come into play when a licence has been expired for more than 3 months, when licensing an interstate or new-to-WA vehicle, or after a yellow sticker (defect notice).
What if I renew late?
